Glasses at work

Want advise on which glasses i should get.
I have started a job in a local supermarket and never thought about how needing glasses for close stuff would affect it.
The glaases i have are intermediates for using computer and raeding, but I dont have any issues with my distance.
I need to be able to see close but also look into the distance.
Taking glasses on/off all the time will be a farce and would have to get one of those glasses chains.
Do I need varifocals or occupational lenses, and are they easy to get used to??

How old are you? Generally varifocals are for mixed sight which tends to come on 40+
An optician is best placed to advise you what you need, they’ll take into account what you need them for.

Imm 55 but as far as I can tell, no issues with distance.

When was the last time you had an eye test? Ask the optician what would be best for you

I'm an optician, you need varifocals (or bifocals).

I have what Boots call 'Executive Bifocals'. They’re the old-fashioned bifocals with a clear line across the middle of the two types of lens. I have distance at top and reading at bottom. They're perfect for me.
