Experience of using acitretin

I'm a week into using acitretin for my psoriasis, and my psoriasis has really flared up and my skin just keeps flaking off even when using the prescribed moisturiser.

What's really bothering me the most is my eye, it started off really itchy on Monday and I woke yesterday with it swollen and painful now today it's even more painful and red - it feels almost like there's grit or something in it.

Is this a normal part of using acitretin? (Or knowing my luck I've picked up something else!)

They say 12 weeks for acitretin, I think?

In my case things started to clear up after around 8 weeks. Things did get worse before they got better.

I do still get dry eyes (and lips and skin) which I treat with eye drops as needed, but never swollen or red eyes.

Thank you, I'm terrible for itching so I'm not sure if that's what has caused my eye to get in such a mess.

I can't tell you whether or not to seek medical advice for your eye at this stage, but it might be worthwhile getting eyedrops for regular use. I get the cheapest ones off the shelf at Tesco, nothing special.
