I've read so much about what not to eat (garlic, onions, tomatoes, fatty foods, coffee, alcohol, citrus, wheat, dairy, probably some others....) I'm struggling to come up with a plan of what to actually eat. Can you give me some ideas for meals that work for you? I am vegetarian. Despite having used antacids and PPIs I still get a mild burning feeling all the time unless I'm either eating or chewing gum. Thanks x

Watching this with interest. I’m sick of living on plain boiled white rice when I get a flare up.

Tinned rice pudding suits me. Cups of tea with digestive biscuits. Toast, eggs, peas, scotch broth. Cream crackers.

I'm having a flare up now, antibiotics and ibuprofen caused it. I've some omeprazole in the cupboard. I'm sorely tempted.

Oops you're vegetarian, so vegetable broth, omit the meat.

It's easiest to say what not to eat but this is me.....spicy food especially chilli, booze especially spirits, fats especially butter and cheese, black coffee, over brewed tea, sugary sweets.

Any of the above and anything too late before bed. It's very random sometimes.

PS, sorry just read your post properly. Sorry again. Tonight's dinner was chicken, veg and mashed potato which won't really help.

Meat with lime juice. Everything else gives me hell if I'm in a flare and do not ever take proton pump inhibitor drugs.

Yes I've had all those tests and nothing has shown up.

Biggest thing that makes a difference to me is cutting out carbs. I was gobsmacked at the effect when I first tried eating LCHF, I hadn't expected it at all. And once my guts had calmed down I found that I could eat foods that would normally upset them.
