Hi, I posted earlier on this week to say I felt really ill and I had cold symptoms but it felt like more than a cold. Now I have this random bruising and rash on my legs. Does anyone know what this could be? Hoping to book GP appt tomorrow

Well yes. Why would you think this was a wait and see illness?
It is far from normal
Ypu need to be seen with a matter of urgency

Thanks, I might find 111 and see if they suggest the hospital?

I really would not bother with 111
They are useless
Just go to A & E

pinkgown · 02/09/2024 01:52

Call an ambulance or get yourself to A&E right away. That looks very much like sepsis. Don't wait for 111, it's serious. Call 999.

mellowfell · 02/09/2024 01:55

Please op for the love of god go to your nearest a&e. Please take care x

longdistanceclaraclara · 02/09/2024 02:28

You need to go to a and e. Now if you have already. I hope you are ok.

PoopedAndScooped · 02/09/2024 02:29

I really hope your not pissing about with 111

aintnospringchicken · 02/09/2024 02:31

Really appreciate the lovely messages and concern on here. I have recently got home after being in A&E all night, when I was eventually seen the nurses called the doctors in to have a look at my leg but they had no clue what it was so they asked another doctor and they didn’t know so they asked another. I think 5 or 6 doctors looked at my legs but had no clue what was happening to me. I had blood tests as they were concerned about the bruising but it turns out I’ve got HSP which is more common in children and not in adults. The doctor said it was really rare and she called other doctors in who hadn’t seen a rash like it to explain to them what it was. I had high blood pressure and a fast heart rate. Sorry if the pictures are too much

Oh wow, I had to google that but did they mention anything about it affecting your kidneys. Good job you went though x

TruthThatsHardAsSteel · 02/09/2024 13:33

Oh you poor thing. I had wondered if it was erythema nodosum. Please tell me you're resting? ❤️

pinkgown · 02/09/2024 14:20

I've never heard of that either. Hope it clears up without any lasting problems.

I bet some of your high blood pressure was stress related - mine goes through the roof if I have a hospital appointment but is fine when I am relaxed at home.
