Bowel issues

Back story is that 5 years ago I started having stomach cramps and intermittent diarrhoea. Coincidentally I’d just come back from holiday in Turkey a few weeks prior. I’d be ok for a few days then I’d have an episode, sometimes having to get up in the middle of the night. Went to gp, had blood tests, fit test and a flexible sigmoidoscopy (which I was due to have anyway for the bowel screening programme in my area) and all fine. It eventually settled down and gp said she thought it was a touch of ibs.
Since then I have had the occasional episode usually after eating something that doesn’t agree with me but very few and far between.

However, it’s started again. Same thing, ok for a few days then running to the toilet. No blood or anything. Just back from holiday as well although it’s only been a week since it started.

Of course I will go to the doctors if it carries on but I suffer from health anxiety and I’m starting to get really freaked out. Could this really just be ibs flaring up after so long? I was never formally diagnosed with this btw. I am pretty anxious about a few life events at the moment which doesn’t help the digestive system.

I know that nobody can diagnose me on here but any thoughts before I go off on one?

Did you go to the same place? Is there anything you do more of on holiday? Like drink or eat certain foods?

No Spain this time. But I was eating all sorts at the buffet for dinner. Fine when I was away though.
Only thing I can think of is I’m a bit funny with milk and a got a new type of milk when I got home. Drank a glass and a few hours later had to run to toilet. Strange that I am ok fine some days and not others.
