I’m a very healthy 27 yo. Literally have not needed to go to the dr since I was 9 (other than inoculations, jabs etc). So am a bit ignorant.

I have woken up with a sore, swollen eye. Skin underneath is pink and swollen. Could I get away with just buying eyedrops off Amazon. Or do I need to go and see a pharmacist.

Tbh I’m working from home and can’t be arsed to leave the house. Would my dp be able to pick up something for me on his way home without me physically being there

if in England, try the above. It’s in partnership with the NHS. I wouldn’t bother with OTC stuff unless seen and advised, it may be a waste of time/money and eyes are too important to not seek medical attention for.

Primary Eyecare Services provides NHS-funded eyecare services via local opticians

We work with local opticians in England who can help with eye care issues including urgent problems like red eyes, sore eyes or flashes and floaters.
