Benenden health query…

I have been referred for a pelvic ultrasound scan from my gp but been advised there is a 8 month waiting list for this through nhs. I think I can get it through my Beneden health. Can I ask though do they just do the scan or are they results looked at by a dr too and explained to you or what way does it work? Thanks

A radiologist will dictate the results but these would usually be looked at by your consultant. An NHS GP won’t have access to your private records so it’s worth asking for a specialist referral alongside the scan.

It depends on your GP . Our GP ( and local NHS trust) are quite happy to deal with Benenden , use their test results etc .
