Muscle cramps under right breast/rib when I reach down

Why is this happening to me?
It's always in the right side - if I reach towards my toes for something g in the tub - or for the floor when seated.

Most recently at an amusement park, when I would fit myself into the seats for some of the more exciting rides - having to lift my knees towards my chest
/fold myself into the seat - was causing it -

It comes on all of a sudden and painful similar to calf muscle cramp when your sleeping -

The area is sometimes achey even when not cramping

Dr gave me physio that didn't seem to help -
Had a scan of gall bladder - all good

Massage! My pelvic physio did it for exactly this issue. It's just tight muscles. You could have a go yourself though - that's what she told me to do.

Sounds a bit like a hiatus hernia to me. I developed one after my first pregnancy and it had similar triggers, i.e. anything that squidged up my midriff. It's never entirely gone away although it goes through phases of better and worse. There are foods that make it worse (chocolate iirc, though I still eat plenty of it) and exercises that can minimise it if you're going through a bad patch (I used to do one that involved raising yourself up on tip toe and then slamming your heels back down on the floor, while sipping hot water on an empty stomach - or something like that). Do some googling and see if it fits maybe?
