Good morning, I have CKD stage 3 and have always been told not to take NSAIDs.
I went to the GP yesterday and have been told I have metatarsalgia and plantar fasciitis and prob some
Arthritis in my feet. GP said to take a 10 to 14 day course of nurofen.

I told him I had always been told not to take nurofen because of my kidneys and he said a 10-14 day course won't harm.
I am hesitant to take them. Is it true it's safe for 10-14 days ??

I have stage ckd 3a too,
I was told not to take ibuprofen either. I am also on edoxaban (blood thinner)
However - GP did say in extreme circumstances I could take it.
I think you should probably ring your GP back up to query it - the GP you spoke to / had appointment with may not have seen the ckd diagnosis on system

If in doubt, perhaps a pharmacist could help?
