Headaches

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this!

I'm 35, had my first child 9 months ago. Never really had migraines before. A couple of weeks after she was born, I started having the most severe headaches I'd ever had. They would just come from nowhere (sometimes triggered by sneezing) and I'd literally be clutching my head in pain. They'd last between 10/15 mins and 2/3 hours.

I put it down to being sleep deprived and not drinking enough water at first, but when nothing changed after a few months I went to my GP.

They decided it was hormonal, or that my body was reacting differently to the pill after having a baby. They suggested I switch to a mini pill. Great in some ways as I have endometriosis so not having periods definitely helps. The headaches seemed to go away for a month or two but they are gradually coming back.

I had the worst one yet last night, again I sneezed and felt like my head had exploded. I'm going to go back to the doctors next week but does anyone know what this could be? I'm wondering if they were onto something with changing my pill, but then why have they come back?

Thanks so much.

Have you ever had problems with your ears in the past?

Hey there,
if you have the time take a look at this video on youtube, Ketogenic Therapy for Migraine Management - with Dr. Elena Gross

  • basically, diet influences hormone production and metabolism, which may cause migraines. Shifting diet pattern, can in some cases reduce migraines.

Best of luck and hope you find something that works for you.
