Nausea after flu?

Two weeks ago I came down with flu. Cough, headache, body aches, fever and stuffy/runny nose. I had no appetite and couldn’t eat for days. Since recovering, I feel constantly nauseous with no appetite. I did have some gastrointestinal symptoms during the flu, but they are lingering and it’s a struggle to eat. Is this normal after a bad flu? Any similar experiences? I have an appointment with GP tomorrow. Just wondered if others had experienced the same.

Very unlikely that you had flu as levels of it are barely non-existent in the U.K. at the moment (unless you are in a different part of the world of course). There’s a lot of covid about though, so could have been that and I’ve always had nausea and diarrhoea for a week or two after covid every time I’ve had it.

whatever it was, get a good quality probiotic supplement down you and some live yoghurt. Lots of water, lots of rest, no dairy aside from the live yoghurt for a few days. That should settle it.

I vote Covid too. Nausea and vertigo type symptoms are very common.
