of course you could be trying to get PG

but since having dd, ive become far more into natural things, like breastfeeding and really nice home cooked foods etc.

just don't really want to start taking the pill again, as i dont like they thought of putting extra hormones etc into my body.

anyone else feel this way? or have i turned into a hippy?

I wouldn't go near nasty chemicals which controlled my cycle and all the emotions and feelings attached. I LOVE the fact that it's the moon which makes it all happen. The MOON FGS! How cool is that?

I took the pill breifly as a teenager and became chubby with big sore boobs and irritable. It's not for me.

im trying to conceive at the moment but i hated the pill and got pregnant with ds on it anyway,i had the implanon in and it made me bleed constantly and turn into a nutter while pmsing dont know what ill do after next[hopful emoticon]baby either rely on condoms or kick dh to the docs for a snip im finished poisoning my body

lionbeastwithalionheart · 16/04/2008 21:41

sh, i think im going to use that too, think ill google it.

thats great mrs mouse im glad it goin so well for you was the baby doing anything interesting at the scan? like sucking its thumb or anything?
i wouldnt worry about showing everyone says you show more second time round, due to everything being looser, im so glad your doing well, i have thought about you and wondered how you are.

No, it was lying in the perfect position for the measurements, and gently waving its arms and legs at us. We're hoping that it will remain this co-operative when it's out in the real world.

MeMySonAndI · 16/04/2008 21:50

I did stop the pill years ago, after I developed migraines which suddently disapeared when I stoped taking them.

Now, being on my own... what's the point?

lionbeastwithalionheart · 16/04/2008 21:55

mrsmouse, oh what a good baby so gentle and sweet

i think people who use natural methods are very brave.i would have about 17 children if i tried that(i seem to have ovulation symptoms twice per cycle)

amytheearwaxbanisher · 16/04/2008 22:02

i do think anything that messes your body up so much cant be a good thing the implanon had me in a heap the pill gave me ibs the injection is the same as both of them from what ive read you would think at this stage they would come up with something else we could use.oh and i cant really tell when im ovulating as it ranges from 33 to 35 days so timing cant be judged

mamalovesmojitos · 16/04/2008 22:08

i stopped the pill because i had a dvt during my pregnancy. i have an implanon now.

have found it great. had a period for weeks when i first got it in though-disaster.

nearly lost my mind and wanted to take it straight back out again but now i'm delighted with it.

too scared to only rely on condoms...

too mentally scarred from labout to have someone go near my bits with a coil....

I've never taken the pill for very long but I didn't like it at all. I felt very spaced out and not myself. I don't like the idea of messing around with my hormones either - after 8 years of pregnancy/breastfeeding I reckon they need to find their own level. So that rules out the Mirena coil as well. Anything with the potential side effect of weight gain and/or depression really puts me off.

I have bad PMT and painful periods - so no copper coil. Very squeamish so not keen on diaphragm. So I guess that leaves us with beastly condoms when I've had this baby
