Swollen Lymph Node In Neck

Hello ladies. I noticed about a month and a half ago a lymph node on the side of my neck. It feels about the size of a dime. It feels harder than my other lymph nodes and doesn't move when I press on it. Can a harder lymph node that doesnt move be benign? My anxiety is spiraling and my insurance doesnt start until next month. Thank you in advanace. Also not sick but do have a small cavity on that side that is getting filled next week.

I have had swollen lymph nodes that have felt hard for several weeks at a time. It’s not always been obvious that I’ve been ill-sometimes probably a background virus. But get checked to b on safe side x

What size is a dime? Signs suggestive of an innocent/reactive lymph node would be an obvious cause (eg sore throat, ear ache, scalp eczema etc...tooth infection might do it), node feeling smooth, rubbery, mobile and a bit tender to touch. Also tend to go up and down in size with illness. Signs suggestive of a worrying lymph node would be steadily increasing in size, no obvious cause, hard, craggy, non mobile, non tender.

I'm guessing you're not in the UK as you mention insurance and dimes. Over here, private health/travel insurance wouldn't cover something where the symptoms started before the insurance began, which is a concern.
