I’ve been getting bitten most nights for the last 2 weeks. One got infected and I’m about to start my second course of antibiotics. I’ve tried sleeping with the window shut. I use a screen over my window if I do leave it open. I’ve changed the bed sheets. I’ve hoovered the mattress.
Possible factors - I do have a dog but she’s up to date with flea treatment and none noticeable on her/when she’s brushed (she’s got light fur and the one time she had them they were very obvious. I live near a body of water (although I don’t go that close much).
I’ve tried to get some photos of the most inflamed ones. They are red, raised, very itchy! About 1cm diameter. They are all over my body, worst on my limbs and odd ones on my torso. None are close together so I will doubt its bed bugs and there’s not two pinpricks close together to make me suspect spiders.
I’ve stopped wearing perfume in case that was attracting them (not helped). I’m not hearing any mozzie/midges and I have hypersensitivity to that noise. I’m taking an antihistamine. Tonight I’ve tried spraying a mixture of white vinegar and peppermint oil to see if that helps repel them!
