Extra heartbeat ECG

I am due to have a THR soon & had my pre op medical today.
The ECG revealed an extra heartbeat ‘ on the left side.
Does anyone know what this means & whether it is serious? Thanks,☺️

Did they say it was an ectopic beat? Many many people have them sporadically and its nothing important. If you have lots of them consistently and frequently then you should have a cardiology work up to check that you heart is still pumping efficiently. But its almost always a benign finding

It's probably benign ectopic heartbeats. Annoying but perfectly safe as long as you don't have too many. Mine are fewer than 1%.

You will need the relevant tests to make sure and it's hard not to worry, but try not to worry.

They're common in peri- and menopause and might also be linked to Covid/jabs.
