What’s this rash?

About 3 days ago my chest started itching but there was nothing to be seen. I first felt a small bump that I thought might be a heat bump but it’s got itchier since then and has spread to lots of spots. They’re itchy but also a bit sore now. I’m not sure that the pics quite do it justice but it’s raised red bumps and some have a tiny scab in the middle (not sure if that’s from itching though).

For boring reasons I can’t do anything about it tonight but I can go the the chemist tomorrow. I’ve tried E45, aveeeno, Eurex and hydrocortisone but nothing’s made much difference.

Shingles?

I’m not sure. I thought that affected one side of your body and it’s pretty central

It tends to appear as a band of spots (as it travels down a strip of nerve endings) which I think yours sort of looks like.

I put some calamine lotion on and if anything it’s more itchy that ever 😬

Scabies?

Possibly, it seems less angry this morning and hasn’t spread but is still very itchy.

The white is calamine lotion.

Did you try the chemist for advice?

I couldn’t get there today as it would have meant going with 3 under 3’s and we wouldn’t have fit in the private room and I didn’t fancy having to discuss the possibility of having scabies in the middle of the chemists 😫

Heat rash?

Looks like scabies to me.

CultureAlienationBoredomandDespair · 15/08/2024 20:54

Wouldn’t other people in my house have it if it was scabies? I haven’t been anywhere they haven’t and I cosleep with my baby and DH.
