Is this normal? I cannot go near it/her today with the toothbrush, she's been really crying with the soreness, and her breath absolutely stinks!!! Any advice?? Also i mentioned the dentist, but she's terrified.

It's highly unlikely that she needs to see the dentist.

It's normal to take weeks (sometimes months) for teeth to fall out. Sometimes it's sore for a bit and then settles again, but I have usually found with dd that when it gets this sore, the tooth is likely to come out pretty soon. Calpol/ibuprofen will help with the pain, and you can clean her teeth by simply missing out the sore one.

Hope she's more comfortable soon.

ok, thanks for that, always the same when you are doing the 'first' of anything isn't it!

She is a big wuss anyway, tends to be v sensitive about any form of pain. Just hope it is going to comeout soon then, we are all waiting(mainly me tho).
