Bruised toe nail

Hi this might seem mad but a few weeks ago I noticed that my little toe nail is purple like bruised I don’t recall knocking it
Tbh my health anxiety has kicked in I need to book a podiatrist as big toes also have painful ridges , maybe caused by ill fitting shoes
The Bruise is worrying me
Has anyone had unexplained nail bruising ?
I will be booking a podiatrist and don’t want to be freaked out

I get this if my shoes are too tight across the toe box and I walk long way. My nail so jags into the toe next to it and it bleeds. Nice.

Thanks for your reply my actual toe nail looks like I’ve knocked it as the nail is dark purple

You do need to go to the GP and get it looked at. Probably nothing but get it checked out.

Probably from wearing ill fitting shoes, but a Gp or podiatrist will advise. I’ve def had bruised toes from dodgy footwear!
