What on earth are these bites!

I was on a caravan holiday in Lincolnshire last week at a holiday park and have returned with the most horrendous bites!

the worst one was worse and was spreading with a ring around it and I took myself off to the pharmacy yesterday and they gave me a 5 day course of flucloxacillin but now more have appeared overnight. Do they look like mosquito bites and am I most likely allergic to them? I’m a nurse and have no clue myself but they’re driving me absoloutely insane.

I haven’t put any luggage on my bed upon returning, everything’s gone in the wash and out of 4 of us, I’m the only one to have any kind of bite. I’m taking an antihistamine and the pharmacist also reccomended anthisan cream but also no relief!

I think the worst bites I've had are ant bites. I seem to remember them being quite bruised looking, those look pretty bad though. Hydrocortisone cream ? I think Canesten athlete's foot cream has that in it

Yes I do think they look like inflamed mosquito bites! Camomile lotion will help!

The big one looks like a horse fly bite. The others maybe mosquito

I get these but I live in the south West of France and wear shorts round the garden. I'm covered at the moment.

I usually put deep freeze gel round the red bits which really helps the itching. And I have one of those clickers which also helps. And teaspoon in boiling water held onto the bite itself as soon as possible can also help neutralise them.

I keep the deep freeze gel by my bed for those 3am itching sessions.

I'm sure I've read that 3 bites in a triangular shape are bed bug bites.

The big one does look like horse fly to me. Should go down in a week.

I agree with the hot spoon method to relieve itching, although wouldn't use boiling water. Very hot tap water will do as you don't want burns too.
