Sleep Apnea at home test

Hi 👋 any mumsnetters here who have done an at home sleep apnea test wearing a watch and probe kit and had a horrendous nights sleep?

Prior to receiving the equipment I was on a long waitlist. I am quite desperate to get diagnosed with sleep apnea as I have numerous video recordings now of myself sleeping and stopping breathing/gasping/moaning (yes MOANING like I'm having sex!)/ snoring.

So I finally got my appointment, picked the kit up and went to sleep.

Well!! After 3 hours of fitful sleep where I didn't feel like I slept at all, my 4 year old son comes through after pissing the bed (hasn't woken through the night IN MONTHS but tonight was the night 👍 ) he soaked everything including the mattress and it was unusable. It was also evident that he was poorly. He got in bed with me and basically from 3am - 7 am I did not sleep a wink. It was hell. He tossed he turned and kicked. At one point he was awake and took the finger probe off and pressed the button on the machine I was livid and too angry to sleep thereafter.

Did they let you re-test? I am panicking as they basically said when I called that they "would have to see" if I can retest and that has sent me spiralling a bit that my one horrendous night of the test has basically blown my chances at a proper diagnosis (and help). Did any of you think you didn't sleep but did? And it showed from only a few hours of data the apnea?
