Manky toe

Any ideas to what is causing this on my partners toe?.
He has a fungal toenail ( he has been treating said toenail for months with curanail and similar) .
Started off last Sunday with skin around nail very red & last few days peeling . 🤢

Ingrown toenail?
Has he seen a chiropodist?

Is he allergic to the treatment?

Could it be some weird form of athlete's foot?

Either way, it might be something to take to a professional! Looks sore

It could be from the treatment.

Specialist here, quite possibly ingrown as fungal nails tend to ingrow. The discolouration around and above the nail is indicitive of an infected ingrower. See a foot health professional or podiatrist as soon as you can. Don’t mess about with gp as they will do nothing and the ingrower needs removal before it can heal.

i thought ingrown nails were painful ? .

Not necessarily painful, thickening nail can be ingrown. Could be a negative response to the curanail. Until someone looks at it, impossible to say.
