If so, i can sympathise. It's really grim. Been to doctors, she said it's really contagious & she's put me on 10 days antibiotics. Am worried about passing it on to DD - may be too late, as didn't know what it was till today .
Has anyone had it, or their dcs had it? Did it go quickly - am worried it'll just get passed btwn the 3 of us and never go.
Any advice welcome xx

DS had it round his mouth on a couple of occasions. Doc gave us magic cream called FucidinH which cleared it up in less than 3 days.

I had this all around the top of my lips and up my nose to the point where it felt like my nose was closing up. Bloody horrible, so you have my sympathies. I think I caught it from one of the kids at nursery whilst I was working (perks of the job? ) but fortunately DD escaped it. Just try not to scratch at it or pick at it, because that will spread it round quickly.

Please use your own towel and cup.Keep your nails short and well scrubbed. My DD has had this over Easter but it has gone completely with Fucidin. Poor you! I hope you get better soon.

Thanks for your quick replies. Didn't realise it's so common. I feel hideous, like i need to wear a facemask! And i know there are a lot worse things in life, and that it's only temporary, but it's bloody sore & weepy (gross emoticon needed), and i'm going to indulge in a little self pity on this one. And i hope the LOs that had it are all better now, poor things
