Does anyone use the Nike+ Training Coach?

Hi, have been looking into this. I've already got a nano, and the cost of the nike+ widget doesn't seem to be too expensive ... as long as its useful!

From what I've read, it appears that you can set up a training plan, but I'm not clear on whether or not you get prompts through your iPod. So if I've got to listen out for my watch to beep anyway, can't really see the point!

Would appreciate your views

Thanks

we've just invested and I love it - esp for the record of speed and distance. I also like the power song feature and the fact it tracks your favourite runs.

you don't need the nike shoe - you can get a little neoprene pouch to put on your laces.

Thanks BitLessTiredNow,

Have you used the 'coach' functionality? I know you can set up training plans on the nike+ website but it looks like it doesn't prompt you when to change intensity if you're doing intervals... struggling to see the point if it doesn't do that?!

My mum uses it she says it's great and really motivates her. I have to have one now - can't have my mum being cooler than me

the little pouch is call a marware sports suit - get on ebay for a few pounds _ saves having to spend loads on nike trainners

jetgirl - does your mum use the coach? I understand the general ipod stuff, but as I do walk/run and interval training rather than straight running, the distance calculator stuff doesn't really apply.

On the nike+ website you can set up training plans. What I want to know is does it give you aural cues when to run or walk or speed up etc.

Has anyone used this?

Got no intention of forking out for nike shoes, recently spent a fortune on a pair of mizuno's!
