Pain after Microdiscectomy

I have had MD surgery 3 weeks ago and woke up with pain in my leg slightly worse than before the op. My doctor attributed the pain to inflimation and gave me steroids which did not make any difference so far.. I am still in pain and can not walk more than 5 minutes without severe pain in my calves and ankle area which forces me to stop walking.. New MRI shows "enhancing tissue and adhesions" and no new herniation!!
Did any one had the same experience and what was the reason?! Is it normal?

my first microdisectomy was classed as failed and they did it again.. i was warned when i had the surgery that they were dealing with my back pain and not my leg pain

i am now 3 years since 2nd microdiesctomy and have been left with desensitisation in my right leg, and lower back pain with bowel and bladder issues.. consultants suggestion... lose weight and get on with it thanks alot bye!
