Lumps

Hi

I have a lump on my armpit, which the GP suggested it was an ingrown hair and gave me a course of antibiotics to help with the swelling. A few days later I also felt a lump above my collar bone which again I went to the GP about, she did a breast examination to find a small lump on my right breast and has reffered me for urgency to the breast clinic. I am also experiencing pain on my right arm, I can only really feel this pain when I stretch my arm up. It feels like a pulling/burning sensation. The wait for this appointment is making me very nervous. Does anyone have any similar experiences, and what was the outcome?

Hi @C2190

Try not to worry (easier said than done I know!)

Is the lump hard or soft?

I started off with a lump on my right underarm. I had a referral to the breast clinic. Mammogram just showed it was a fatty lump. (I was dreading a mammogram but it wasn't half as bad as I expected).

Years later I got another lump in the supraclavicular fossa area (above right collarbone). Ultrasound and MRI done. Result: another fatty lump.

It could be that the lump is pressing on or aggravating a nerve.

What sort of size are they?

Do you mind me asking your age?

Hope that has helped a bit.
