Hi

My DH has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (though we are in the process of getting a second opinion, but not getting hopes up).
Everything i have googled tends to depress us --- can someone who has any experience here point me to somewhere more uplifting?
We have 2 DCs who are 4 and 2 and i am petrified.....

i am off to a meeting but grateful for any response.

Thank you!

Hey babe,
Just read your post- sorry I'm a few years late. I was gutted when DH was diagnosed 15 years ago. DC were 4 months, 2,4,6. Glad to say he is still hale and hearty, working full time, not able to walk quite so many miles, but still as lovely as ever. Take heart, things can be fine. It doesn't have to be that bad. My grief and mourning over him were the worst things. Hope things are ok for you now.

Hi Page, only just seen your post but wanted to say my mum was diagnosed in the late 60s, before I was born.

She went onto have 2 children, was never that active during my childhood but got on with things, worked part time most of her life.

Initially she had relapses and periods of remission, then over time had more of a gradual decline so that now at 70 she mainly uses a wheelchair (slthough spends sometime every day walking in garden with a stroller) and still looks after my 3 kids (with my dad) when I work.

So it is possible to do more than just get by with MS - life might be different but it doesn't need to be diminished.
