Levothyroxine and periods

Not sure if I’m just being paranoid as I have a lot of anxiety around my fertility.
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism earlier this year and commenced on Levothyroxine in March.
Before starting my periods were clockwork and I would have a consistent 28 day cycle. After starting the medication I had a late period and 34 day cycle. Since then my periods have regulated but my cycle is now 31 days.
Does anyone else have experience of this? I am waiting for a doctors appointment to discuss this alongside my dose but I am just worried about this change and the potential impact. Sorry if I’m being stupid! Thanks

My hypothyroidism and medication never changed my periods, but it did take 12 months to feel back to normal.

Mine didn’t affect my period, it can take some time for the body to recover even though you have started medication. You shouldn’t have any problem with fertility but when you do fall pregnant you will have extra checks to make sure your levels remain ok. Just hang on u til things settle down a little maybe? You are at a slightly higher risk of miscarriage so give your body chance to settle down a little first. Good luck.
