Having root canal today! HELP

Hi. I am having root canal in about 2 hours. Im scared! The thing is though i went before xmas and he drilled it and filled it (took about 15 minutes) and then put a temp filling in it and ever since then it's been fine, maybe just abit sensitive. It's taken me this long to go. The appointment is 30 mins long and I am wondering how much more drilling and filling etc will be needed or if he will drill old filling out and put new one in. Can anyone help?

they should just take the temporary thing out and refill - you've done all the drilly horrid bits - don't worry !

how was it ?

It was ok, didn't really feel anything, just alot of tugging! He did a full half hour of cleaning it out with different files etc. The anesthetic is just wearing off now and I took painkillers earlier. Im expecting abit of toothache later. Not too much of a bad experience after all!!!
