Hi - I'm a first time poster, but long time lurker...
I've had a long term series of symptoms, and I'm very grateful that my GP has just run an enormous amount of blood tests which have just come in. I am due to have a telephone conversation with the GP at the end of the week, but there are a couple of results which are unusual, and I'd really appreciate any input you might have in respect of further testing, or questions I should be asking.
In terms of symptoms:
- fatigue
- muscle pain (have tendonitis in shoulder and early arthritis in knees)
- cold hands and feet (sleep with hot water bottle on feet year round)
- headaches
- brain fog
- urticarial vascilitis (similar to chronic hives)
I fully appreciate that a number of these are likely related to peri-menopause as I am in my mid 40's.
The blood tests which fall outside of normal ranges are:
- Serum creatine kinase @ 272 u/L (normal band is 25-200)
- eGFRcreat (CKD-EPI)/1.73M2 @ 77mL/min* (normal band is 90-120, and previous result in 2021 was 82)
- IgA @ 4.83 g/L (normal range is 0.8-2.8)
My father has IgA Nephropathy and due to have a kidney transplant this year; so it could be a kidney issue, but that doesn't explain the full spectrum of symptoms.
My ANA tests came back negative so I think that is Lupus out.
Any thoughts? I have lots of other results if they are helpful to share, but none of these fell outside of the normal ranges.
Thank you so much :)
