Help me understand these blood tests

Hi - I'm a first time poster, but long time lurker...
I've had a long term series of symptoms, and I'm very grateful that my GP has just run an enormous amount of blood tests which have just come in. I am due to have a telephone conversation with the GP at the end of the week, but there are a couple of results which are unusual, and I'd really appreciate any input you might have in respect of further testing, or questions I should be asking.

In terms of symptoms:

  • fatigue
  • muscle pain (have tendonitis in shoulder and early arthritis in knees)
  • cold hands and feet (sleep with hot water bottle on feet year round)
  • headaches
  • brain fog
  • urticarial vascilitis (similar to chronic hives)

I fully appreciate that a number of these are likely related to peri-menopause as I am in my mid 40's.

The blood tests which fall outside of normal ranges are:

  • Serum creatine kinase @ 272 u/L (normal band is 25-200)
  • eGFRcreat (CKD-EPI)/1.73M2 @ 77mL/min* (normal band is 90-120, and previous result in 2021 was 82)
  • IgA @ 4.83 g/L (normal range is 0.8-2.8)

My father has IgA Nephropathy and due to have a kidney transplant this year; so it could be a kidney issue, but that doesn't explain the full spectrum of symptoms.

My ANA tests came back negative so I think that is Lupus out.

Any thoughts? I have lots of other results if they are helpful to share, but none of these fell outside of the normal ranges.

Thank you so much :)

Egfr is kidneys. Mine was the same as yours and wasn't even flagged! I asked and they said ' drink water'. With your history and the other tests, I'd like to think you get more insight

Hi OP, do you have an update yet? I’m following as i’m awaiting an appointment with dermatology and haemotology to officially confirm a diagnosis of urticarial vasculitis - which suddenly came on 4 months ago. I too am mid 40s and have always suffered cold hands and feet, I also have similar symptoms to you but I have just had a baby so i’m putting those down to the hormones! Do you take fexofenadine for the vasculitis or something else? I am struggling with the swelling and itchiness so any tips gratefully appreciated!
