My daughter has always bruised very easily. She is in a daycare and very active. But her legs are now so bruised that I am getting concerned. Would you be concerned? Thank you!

Take her for a blood test. They are very bruised indeed.

My daughter’s legs looked like this at about age 6-7. A paediatrician in Cyprus ( very traditional) said she had legs like a boy ( meaning she played too rough I think!).

They look normal to me - mum of two boys.
I've tried to wash off many bruises before realising they were bruises not dirt.

If she was getting lots of bruises on her thighs or torso I'd be concerned but not the bottom of legs.

Thank you. I should add that she is also very skinny and clumsy.

I'm guessing she wear shorts, dresses or thin leggings, Ie clothes that don't really offer any leg protection.

Maybe get her some cheap joggers if the weather isn't too hot. Note I say cheap because she will destroy them.

are her arms bruised?
any other bruises?
i was so worried about dd at that age but her arms were fine - it was just life, cycling etc.,

i asked the school nurse and this was her response, btw

My son's legs were permanently just like this. Right through primary. He's 13 now. I don't think it's unusual at all! He's very thin too... if of any relevance.

My legs were constantly bruised as a kid and I still bruise easily as an adult.

I work with animals and always come home with bruises all over my legs from being jumped at or climbed over or because I've walked into something 😂

It really wouldn't concern me at all. Kids are clumsy and play rough.

My 5 yr old DD's legs look like that most of the time. She loves to run, climb, throw herself around etc. She rarely has bruises anywhere else on her body. If your DD is only really bruising on her legs then I wouldn't worry - just shows she's active.

My little girls legs have looked like this for years! She bruises really easily and is also really clumsy and active, likes to climb etc. If you are worried though then take her to the Dr's.
