Lumps in neck

first time posting so I hope I give you all of the information you need. I have had 2 smallish lumps in the side of my neck since November. At the same time, I had some chronic shoulder pain which I went to the GP for and mentioned the lumps as I thought they might be related. She said they weren’t and told me it was just swollen lymph nodes and they should go away (along with google imaging lymph node diagram to show me).

nearly 8 months later and they are still there. They haven’t changed in size at all but have been there ever since.

Im not sure they’re anything too sinister as they move when pressed but they’re very hard. Does anyone know what this could be?

Can you ask for an ultrasound? I had this and the dr asked for an ultrasound (which showed it was nothing to worry about). But I live in a country with a different medical culture to the UK (not the US! I have socialised healthcare, but much more interventionist than the UK).
