debilitating recurrent lower back pain - might pilates help?

That's it really.
About 4 or 5 times a year my lower back and left hip sort of gives up leaving me in great pain with limited movement for about three days.
Might Pilates help or is it a load of twaddle?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer

IMO, it does help, it's mainly exercises though so you will have to do some at home. I used to have really bad back pain, it went into spasm and I could hardly walk. I stopped wearing heals and have not had a problem since. You could try this?

avenanap that was quick!

Ok sounds like it must be worth a go.
I don't wear heels which is a shame as I could give that up if you see what I mean
