Went to the drs a few weeks ago with extreme fatigue, heavy periods, pain in stomach, headaches, easy bruising, hair falling out, dizziness on standing, sometimes randomly when sitting, brain fog. He had seen me at a previous appointment with one of my children and said I looked ill, pale and could see I'd lost weight he was concerned about my thyroid or anemia. My blood pressure was 130/86 and pulse 112. I'm 29.

Had lots of bloods taken, got results back and had no follow up even though most of my results say borderline, I've messaged the drs but not heard back. Any help would be great, thankyou.

Ferritin is low, I would be starting supplementing with that
It needs to be over 75 for hair growth so nowhere near optimal

Mine was 60 and I started iron tablets every other day with a vitamin c tablet to get it up

Thankyou will buy some just no idea on dosage as no advice from Dr!

My ferritin was about that level and I've been advised to supplement and retest in 3 months, did they test your B12? Mine was deficient and I now have injections. I had pretty much the same symptoms as you

They are all normal. Ferritin is in the normal range but to stop hair loss you need it to be >100. As you know you have heavy periods, the cause is obvious - you lose more iron than you put in.

You can buy iron tablets like Ferrous sulfate over the counter, you only need 1 alternate days.

Low ferritin is awful. Mine is low and I started a thread about this in May. At the time mine was 28 I was literally sitting in the GP weeping because I was so tired. I did try Ferrous Fumerate every other day from over-the-counter. The GP just told me to get over the counter.
In the end, I went into hospital with food poisoning and was given an iron infusion because I couldn't tolerate the iron tablets any longer so hoping that will boost things . Perhaps you could start taking iron supplements and then in about three months, ask your GP to check your bloods again . Or keep persisting and ask for another apt .
Did I see your vit d was low ? Maybe someone else can see .
