Broken Ankle

I've broken my ankle recently, what are we saying in regards to recovery time?
Been given a boot and told to weight bare, but it is agony!!
I'm going on holiday in 7 weeks.... tell me it'll be ok?!

@pinkunicorns54 really good to hear your update; sounds like you're making positive progress and should be okay for your holiday. 😊 From Wednesday, I can start to 50% weight bear, and build that up to fully weight bearing in time for my holiday at the end of August. I've been out for a meal tonight, so my leg has been down so my foot's swollen a bit, but I'm thinking that's going to last for months! How's your swelling?

You can buy things which attach to the bottom of your shoe in your good leg which brings everything to same level. I found a got sore hips walking around lopsided cos the boot is so much chunkier on the base than a normal shoe
