Hi
I booked to see a private gynaecologist due to ongoing problems and bleeding in-between periods.
i had a smear and swabs done

i rang today to chase up my results, my consultant said she wants to see me face2face to discuss my results.

should I be worried?

I expect some treatment is required. When is your appointment? Try not to worry because it won't change anything.

This Friday is not a terribly long wait (although of course it's an anxiety-provoking situation), but did you ask if they have a waiting list for cancellations?

Hi melodyxc. Hope you are feeling ok, just think positive and not long to wait. No waiting list. It took me weeks to see a GP and attend hospital appointments. I need to see a Gynaecologist about my health problems too. Don't know much about Private, have consider in the past. Do they pass your personal details back to your NHS GP?

PS - When I say it's an anxiety-provoking situation, I certainly didn't mean to suggest anything ominous.

I'm not a doc, but I know there are some easily manageable conditions that can cause breakthrough bleeding.

I hope this resolves easily and quickly for you.

In your first consultation they ask if you would like to share information with your GP. So it’s completely up to you! Hope this helps x
