Fish Oils for children

DS1 has had periods of, shall we say "difficult" behaviour and has a short attention span. A friend suggested fish oils and they did seem to help, at least to begin with. DS2 is a very picky eater and I find it very hard to get protein foods into him, so I figure the fish oils can't hurt, so they have both been taking the orange flavour capsules from Asda.

However, I have been wondering if this is the best way to buy them and what the alternatives are. I am aware that higher dosages are often recommended and also a little concerned about what's in the the plasticy casing. How do you all give these type of supplements and where do you buy them from? Will your DC's take them if they're not coated in sugar/sweeteners?

if you buy the gel capsules you can cut them open and put it in a juice drink, or i think you maybe able to buy it in liquid form.

I give my ds Eskimo Kids Oil. It is expensive at £17 a bottle, but it lasts for 2 months. It has the highest EPA and HPA that i have ever found and is extremely pure.
My ds has been having fish oils for 5 years and i have tried many brands, but this is by far the best. They do make them as capsules, but i was assured that the liquid form is better. By the way, it comes in Tutti Frutti flavour or more recently in Orange.
The only place i can buy it is on a local health food stall, but (i have just Googled it) you can order it online. Just found it for £15!!!!!
I hope this helps Perpetualworrier.
