Hiya,

I wondered if anyone could help on here since it takes so long to get a doctor.

I clonked my knuckle when drying up a mug about another or so ago. The handle somehow detached mid-action and the broken part clonked into my knuckle, causing a lot of pain and bleeding.

Took a long time for the cut to heal and now the knuckle is still sore if I knock it on anything, and even the skin is sore when I’m washing/drying my hands.

Has anyone seen or done anything like this and can advise what I’m dealing with and when it will return to normal size and colour, and stop hurting? Should I get it x-rayed? (Long wait in A&E and for what really? Doubtful any actual treatment available for it). Leave it?

I caught my little finger and bent it onto a 45° angle in 2001. The joint still hurts now if I knock it. Especially if it's cold.
