Stabbing/burning pains years after vaginal hysterectomy

Do they ever stop?
Since the op I have very, very occasionally had the odd twinges along the suture line where they sew the end up after cervix removal. Today I have had the most horrendous pains that actually knocked me a bit sick, and were at least as painful as after the initial op.
Even now, after the stabbing pain has stopped, I am still very aware of the join area burning and prickling. I’m not concerned there is anything medically wrong, I’m assuming it’s just some sort of nerves firing up or something.
I’m just wondering if this is common, I don’t remember being warned about any of this but, tbh, I was so desperate to end the constant flooding and pain that I was desperate for my hysterectomy so probably didn’t give possible side effects much thought.
Anyone else suffer this?
