lump in neck, tonsil seems to be oddly shaped, nodule on voicebox

anyone had any experience of this? Been referred for day surgery next week for scans, tests etc.

Hi,I had a problem last year- feeling of a lump in my throat- went for a scan and there were nodules on my thyroid but the consultant said they shouldn't be causing feeling of the lump(because of were they were on thyroid or something?)

Well i worried myself sick for ages waiting for more tests , consultant said they wanted to look for blockages and then i had to wait 3 months for tests!I was a nervous wreck!All the tests were fine tho, blood tests showed up low b12 and since then i've had nearly a year worth of injections and the feeling of lump is starting to go away- at last!

Hope it all goes ok for you , sorry for rambling but I know it is horrible when somebody suggests the C word, the worst can go through your head, but I think most of the time they are just trying to rule things out rather than if IYKWIM.
