DS12 scratched a bug bite on his ankle on Monday and by yesterday morning it was definitely infected. Got prescribed oral clarithromycin (penicillin allergy and he can't take tablets). It's 2 doses 12 hours apart and so he's had 3.
The area now looks both better and worse, less bright red but pink over a much wider area and a little bit of warmth away from the main area. Should the antibiotics have more time to work or are they not working? There's also broken purple bits but I've had them in a bad bite on my shin before when it's healing.
I'm super stressed as he's autistic and doesn't feel pain/unwell in general as much as he should.
