I dislocated my ring finger a couple of weeks ago. Thinking I was doing the right thing, I went to minor injuries next morning, rather than A&E at the time.
They struggled to put it back and I got told off for not going straightaway.
I've since seen a hand trauma specialist, it's now back in place, but suspected ligament damage. I've seen a physio who said it's healing nicely and gave me exercises.
I can't fully bend the joint, but it's only been 2 weeks and there's much more movement in it than there was.
Today I've received an appointment to see a surgeon. No one told me I'd need an operation or that there would be further appointments. Am I really likely to need an op for this?
