(It is Flamesparrow btw)

I have had so many threads in here the last few months talking about my weirdy stomach pains, phantom pregnancy and everything else.

I am now 4 days later than my latest period. DEF not pregnant unless I am at least 8 weeks. My breasts hurt to walk

I have my appointment at 3pm to find out the test results (they have tested everything they could get out of my body ), and I have a horrible feeling that they are going to turn round and say there is nothing medically wrong with me and I am insane.

Just wanted a quick whingey rant really.

I probably should have put a bit of the history there

Have had weird stomach pains every couple of weeks (apparently they sound like IBS).

My stomach keeps swelling and looking like an early bump.

I have a copper coil (still in place).

No missed periods, they have gotten slightly lighter, but they have been doing that over the last 18 months anyway.

Gazillion negative pregnancy tests.

Painful breasts, that ache like when your ribs are sore with a big bump.

Oh, and sudden weight gain.

They have tested for everything going as I sound like a freak

Have they done a blood test for pregnany? Some women never get positives from urine tests.

Nyeh · 11/04/2008 12:35

Not suggested removing the coil yet - I think that may be on today's list if the tests are all clear. That scares the hell out of me tbh - I can't cope with artificial hormones (sends my depression into overdrive and makes me nauseous), I get pregnant just by looking at DH without contraception... so being left with just condoms tends to make me rock in a corner

They don't do blood tests for pregnancy round here unless it is ?ectopic, but I had hormones done in this lot of bloods which I am assuming would be a bit skewed if I was pregnant, even if HCG wasn't tested?

Part of me wants everything to come back clear, but the other part wants an answer. Something that they can say "You have x, and we can fix it/control it with y". Even turning round and telling me I am 20 weeks gone would be an answer

Will do (If there is a thread with lots of swearing in the title, then apparently it wasn't a phantom pregnancy )

My hormones were a mess before I went on the pill at 17, but other than that, both hormones and thyroid always been fine before

Well he looked well and truly baffled.

All test results are normal. He has given me a form for blood preg test as a last ditch attempt to find an answer, we will go from there!

aw flame, i know what you mean about needing an answer - and you still dont have one! what a pita...

[sulk on your behalf]

PeppermintPatty · 11/04/2008 18:51

MAybe you should ask the doctor for an ultrasound scan.
I had similar symptoms to you, I thought I was pregnant but all tests were negative.
My Doctor couldn't find what was wrong for ages, and it turned out I had a rather large ovarian cyst, which was diagnosed by ultrasound. I think they are hard to diagnose so are often missed.

I don't want to worry you though, it's just an idea.

Nyeh · 11/04/2008 18:53

I think that will be the next avnue

Its worth asking for one, even if it just eliminates it.
Good luck, I hope the mystery is solved soon
