Help ! Lump on DH neck what is it?!

So bit of a backstory my OH has been complaining of back pain for a while now, he is waiting on an MRI and GPs keep turning him away (he is an athlete so we know it’s not muscular)
cut a long story short he has recently had a full blood count prostate exam and lower abdomen xray, all with nothing to see but lower back pain still present
Yesterday he looked in the mirror and saw a lump on the side of his face near the ear
pic attached would this be of concern and in any way related to the back pain??

Lump feels fatty and moveable with zero pain

Did it come up suddenly?
Fatty lumps are usually lipomas which are benign but these will grow slowly

It's hard to see from the pic but it could be his parotid salivary gland that is swollen which is usually due to viral infection or a stone.

Or it could be a swollen lymph node for which there are various serious and non serious causes.

Anyway he should definitely get a Dr to look at it.
