Does this mole look ok?

I had this mole on my chest checked last year by a doctor and she wasn't interested in the slightest. Said it had a clear border and we can develop new moles until we're around 40 (I'm 35).

This mole appeared when I was around 30 years old. Started off darker (it still was when I saw the dr last year) but I've noticed that it has become a lot lighter this summer. Is it worth ringing up the GP again? I'm worried it will be wasting their time. For reference it is 5mm diameter.

You do develop moles later in life. I've had a couple come up in my 30s

Skin cancer doesn't start off darker and then get lighter (especially not uniformly across the whole mole) and as the doctor said your mole has clear symmetrical borders and is also a uniform colour. If it hasn't grown in the last couple of years, there's really nothing I can see to worry about here (and I am a mole worrier!)

Thank you for the reassurance! I'm SUCH a worrier.
