Blood in partner's semen

Hi,

Has anyone encountered something like this? My partner had this about 2 months ago. He went to a SH clinic and they prescribed antibiotics. It cleared up quickly. It has now returned so the GP has prescribed more tests on his prostrate.

From the NHS website:
Common causes of blood in semen include:

• an infection, such as a urinary tract infection (UTI) or sexually transmitted infection (STI)
• a recent procedure or test, such as transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), a cystoscopy or a vasectomy
• a problem with the prostate, such as prostatitis or an enlarged prostate

Rarely, blood in semen can be a sign of cancer, such as prostate cancer.

From reading other research articles it is very rare for this to be prostate cancer but they have to test just in cas.
