Ideas on this skin condition?

It started about 7 years ago, a tiny spot of very dry skin. Now it looks like this, is insanely itchy and I can't stop scratching it. I think it might be dermatitis or psoriasis, my husband seems to think it's a varicose vein!

Time to see the GP as its spreading and driving me crazy but any ideas what it could be?? It is at the very lower end of my back/top of buttock

I would want that looking at by a derm. Doesn’t look like psoriasis to me (I’ve had it everywhere for 20 years! Could be dermatitis, but also could be a skin melanoma - it often presents weirdly so I’d want it looked at.

It kind of looks fungally to me. Have you tried anything on it? I tend to put a bit of steroid cream on anything itchy but that may not be the best advice…….

Could try clotrimazole or terbinafine OTC, if it's fungal that will stop the itching quite soon and clear up the rash in a few weeks.
