Sleep shaking

So I’ve been having these weird vibrations when asleep - generally when I’m about to wake up and dreaming (so in REM). I’m not actually moving, but I feel like I am. And weirdly, they concentrate around wherever I might have an issue - so for a while in my ears because I had an ear infection, but can just be generalised. I imagine it’s largely psychological/ anxiety for that reason.

Prior to this, I was waking up every hour with that jolt you get when you’re breastfeeding/ sleeping with a baby. Could it be all that adrenaline trained to wake me up now that she’s sleeping through?

I’ve had an MRI for other reasons so checked for lesions/ demyelination and no signs. Also never happens when I’m awake. Anyone else get this?

From time to time I get a generalised “vibration” symptom throughout my torso, not legs or arms, whilst asleep, but not deeply.

I put it down to my body getting rid of the adrenaline I haven’t “spent” during the day. Maybe anxiety in there a bit too?

It doesn’t worry me particularly and doesn’t happen often enough for me to bother my Doctor.

Its just “one of those things” I put up with and don’t worry about. I don’t think it’s anything sinister.

@PashaMinaMio Yeah I’m convinced it’s anxiety/ a temporary sleep disorder from the last couple of years of nervous system being so wrung out. Thank you.
