Can anyone who has had an umbilical hernia repair, remember what it felt like a few weeks post op? I had my surgery just over 3 weeks ago. It was all very swollen to begin with, which I was told was normal, but now that the swelling has gone down, it still feels very lumpy and protruding above my belly button (where the hernia was). I'm worried the repair hasn't worked but I wondered if it might just be the stitches and scar tissue that I'm feeling. Has anybody had experience of this and can assure me that it feeling this way is normal? Thank you in advance xx
