A very close family member of mine has to have a PET scan after having other various scans in the lungs and finding a couple of shadows. The doctor won't say yes or no if it's cancer until the pet scan has been done and it's been put in as urgent. Has anyone had a PET scan that has all been okay? I'm worried the doctor already knows the answer but is waiting on further answers before saying anything else. However I'm hoping that someone may be able to put my mind at ease even just a little.
