Gallbladder Removal

Hi

I am scheduled to have my gallbladder removed soon. I’m not sure what to expect with recovery and any after effects. Does anyone have any insight or experience, is there anything you wish you had known? Also any suggestions of anything that might make things easier for me afterwards?
Thanks

Get some Laxido in. You won't want to struggle to do a poo.
Similarly a very firm pillow held tight to your stomach is a better pain killer than co-codamol and doesn't make you constipated.

When they tell you that you need to go home on the same day, you will think they are the meanest people you have ever met.

However it was fine, recovery was pretty quick and about 10 days later I was fully recovered. I've never missed my gallbladder.

Yep, similar to Anna

Can recommend a V shaped pillow for sleeping, soft none wired bra (unless you can manage bra free), soft nighties or PJs with a very light waistband.

I was pretty much fully recovered in 2 weeks and haven't looked back!
